Grad Carmen Orford Launches Popular Celebrity Line Laura Vivian LA
Find out what's happening in Fashion Design.
Since graduating in Fashion Design at FIDM, Carmen Orford started clothing line Laura Vivian LA, which is for women seeking a unique wardrobe that exudes quality and confidence. After founding her line, Orford used social media to reach and dress high-profile clients including Susan Sarandon, Bella Thorne, Mø, Mimi Elashiry and many more. Singer Elliphant personally contacted Orford to make her a dress within 24 hours for the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar after party and loved it. Orford was also chosen by singer Lexy Panterra to be her designer for signature performance looks.

Everything in her clothing line is designed and handmade by herself. She has worked toward becoming a fashion designer since she was 8 years old while in Canada. Only at FIDM did she learn to sew during one of her courses, which gave her the tools to build Laura Vivian LA.
Orford's line is carried online through her website www.LauraVivianLA.com and online retailer www.DollsKill.com. She can be followed on Instagram at @lauravivianla and Twitter at @lauravivianla.
